About This Course
This course is credit bearing towards SMU's Master of Science in Communication Management. In new venture creations and businesses, effective presentations are essential vehicles to inform and persuade.  The ability to deliver captivating and compelling content through persuasive presentations is now a necessity than a choice for many businesses.  This course aims to help presenters be more engaging through astute analysis of the audience, and employment of  strategies that make presentations persuasive, memorable and compelling.  Through this course, participants will be better equipped to execute presentations which: 
• Exhibit a good reading of listeners through sound audience analysis.
• Forge a positive affinity between the speaker and the audience.
• Construct a style for the speaker that is both engaging and winsome.
• Design attention-getting and memorable introductions and conclusions.
• Employ language that is effective for changing or reinforcing beliefs and attitudes.
