About This Course
The design of this programme and the alignment of the training content provide participants with a holistic view of inter-related areas that drive enterprises growth, with a specialised emphasis on the entire F&B value chain management.
What You'll Learn
At the end of the 4-day programme, participants will be able to:
• Know F&B basics such as the licenses and legal formalities such as registration of the company, secure food shop license from NEA and taking the Basic Food Hygience training
• Learn about Values System involving the way food and drinks are produced to how they are packaged such as the growing demand for healthier options and the heightened awareness of how non-biodegradable packaging impacts our environment; and how these trends are driving the food industry to be innovative in their products and solution
• Understand restaurant operations like the various activities that are carried out in a restaurant to run the business: the preparation of food, customer service, cleaning, purchasing raw materials, accounting, reporting etc.
• Gain an understanding of food processing including products, services and expertise to eliminate food borne pathogens, improve food quality, and keep food safe in food processing plants
• Understand procurement processes such as setting weekly purchasing agendas with suppliers, price negotiations with suppliers to ensure prices to our customers remain competitive, and ensuring sufficient stocks are held to prevent shortages or avoid any foreseeable supply disruptions
• Understand warehouse processes such as checking and receiving incoming goods; gather, pack and prepare supplies according to delivery order; carrying out periodic and annual stock checksand daily stock check and count/
• Learn about logistics like executing supply chain processes in support of strategic supply chain and business objectives and evaluating supplier processes and partnering with suppliers to establish best in class performance
