About This Course

At the end of the course, learners will be able to:
• LO1. Explain the key tenets of Singapore’s regulatory framework for financial reporting to all organisation types
• LO2. Apply understanding of the Financial Reporting Standards (FRS) in setting up and operationalising a cloud-based accounting system for their organisation
• LO3. Apply understanding of the FRS to correctly and accurately input and record all transactions made by their organisation
• LO4. Generate and review various reports to check for any significant accounting issues and ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
• LO5. Utilise various avenues to keep up-to-date with changes in prevailing accounting standards

What You'll Learn

This course will equip learners with the knowledge and skills to effectively apply the requirements of relevant financial reporting framework to achieve the objectives of financial reporting in their maintenance and updating of company accounting records on a cloud-based accounting software like Xero. This will help them better contribute to their organisations’ financial accountability, accurate annual reporting to ACRA, accurate tax filing with IRAS, and data-backed business planning and decision making; while also get up-to-date with using updated and newer accounting systems.

Entry Requirements
• At least a Higher NITEC certification or equivalent, or at least 2 years of bookkeeping-related work experience
• Able to speak, listen, write, and read English with Numeracy skills at a minimum proficiency level of the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification i.e., Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 5
• Be proficient users of either a Windows or Apple Laptop
• No prior work experience is required
*Learners who do not qualify in terms of education but have at least one year of relevant working experience will be admitted on a case-by-case basis, subject to approval by the Management Representative (MR).
