Care Givers and Mental Health
About This Course
As Singapore edges towards our status as a super-aged society, the healthcare industry would need to grow manpower exponentially, and at the same time, experiment new operating models to leverage ancillary workers. Amid the competition with other industries for talent, the programme intends to draw aspiring healthcare workers (such as mid-career entrants) by familiarizing them with the Healthcare landscape to increasing their preparedness and resilience levels as they transit into a new undertaking. This will increase a ready pool of workers for the healthcare sector.
Providing care is a challenging yet fulfilling responsibility that demands both physical stamina and overall well-being. This course covers the essence, challenges, associated responsibilities of being a caregiver, resources available for caregivers, basic caregiving skills, active ageing and dementia.
This course is part of the 10-day workshop series of (SCTP) Certificate in Healthcare Administration.
