Delve into the forefront of the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry, witnessing cutting edge transformations in the digital age, from innovative production techniques and practices to the integration of cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

This Executive Certificate is a 2-part programme, with this segment being an overseas component designed to create exposure and awareness of the latest developments in the overseas F&B industry. Drawing on lessons from one of the most competitive and vibrant F&B ecosystems in China where global F&B leaders such as Haidilao have risen, this programme allows participants to have an in-depth understanding of the construct of the entire value chain as well as the key enablers of rapidly scaling F&B brands through efficient pooling using centralised manufacturing, AI-based data analytics and customer profiling, advanced food preparation and centralised procurement. By incorporating company visits, lectures, and reflective exercises, the programme systematically enables participants to gain a thorough understanding of how the F&B value chain operates within a sizable market such as China.

What You'll Learn

At the end of the 5.5-day programme, participants will be able to:
• Understand the latest trends in Food and Beverage (F&B) retail concepts, franchising and branding practices and use of social media for customer engagement
• Appreciate the complexity and use of resource pooling (central kitchen, procurement, etc.) to develop cost advantage for rapid scaling of F&B operations
• Understand the use of digitalisation and data in backend Point of Sale (POS) system and supply chain Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
• Understand the key elements of rapid prototyping of F&B concepts
• Develop first-hand in-depth look of how technology is being deployed in F&B settings, including robotics and automation
