About This Course

This capstone course focuses on 2 areas: 1) emotional intelligence for an organisation and 2) your skill as a certified emotional intelligence practitioner.

Emotional Intelligence for an organisation:
Building your knowledge and understanding of how to utilise Emotional Intelligence tools for organisations will lead you to successful conversations.

We will explore the purpose, the considerations of organisation culture, the importance of organisation diagnosis and the method of how to conduct a proper diagnosis. This course will explore emotional intelligence predictive analysis and its application for talent management.

The critical questions to answer are: What is my ROI on training and how can I measure the effectiveness of emotional intelligence for the organisation? What intervention strategies can you use to help leaders develop their Emotional Intelligence? How can Emotional Intelligence help the general workforce, especially people leaders?

Your skill as a certified emotional intelligence practitioner
This course helps you understand effective communication techniques used to encourage organisations to adopt emotional intelligence and how to manage resistance to change. As a final capstone course, you will learn how to debrief and review a 360 Genos Emotional Intelligence report, debrief the report on an individual and group basis, and differentiate between a leadership and individual report. Finally, how to embark on a coaching conversation as you administer the report.

Becoming a Certified Emotional Intelligence Practitioner? This is Module 2 of 2 to be a Certified Genos Emotional Intelligence Practitioner. Current ICF coaches who complete the 2 modules will receive 10 CCEU/ CCE core competencies and 4 resource development hours towards your ICF membership renewal.

What You'll Learn

LU1 Introduces learners to an EI framework; in particular, LO1 will be delivered in two formats:
- Learners will access LHub’s e-Learning platform about 1 week before the class to understand the fundamentals of EI competencies under an EI framework;
- Then, they will attend the class whereby activities will be facilitated to reinforce their learning (flipped classroom), as well as to delve deeper into understanding the scope of an EI framework and the measures required to enhance organisational EI effectiveness.

In LU2, EI tools and techniques will be introduced, whereby learners will get the opportunity to practice using the tool to assess and debrief the results.
