Certificate in Energy System Management
About This Course
This course has four (4) different modules which aim to provide a varied exposure to the participants.
Participants will gain working knowledge of the design principles and operation of air-conditioning systems used in commercial and industrial buildings.
Participants will be provided with an integrated system approach to understanding Building Automation and Facility Management Systems and their applications to energy efficiency for building services.
Participants will obtain knowledge to lead an energy audit, perform energy performance diagnosis and analysis, prepare and provide sound recommendation and report. They will learn to identify the main energy intensive areas within a facility resulted from air-conditioning, thereby suggest appropriate energy conservation measures to reduce the operating cost of the facility while improving efficiency.
Participants will learn about the causes of power quality issues, and the effects on power system equipment, mitigation methods and power quality monitoring.
