Digital Facilities Management
About This Course
With the push towards meeting organisations’ Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) targets; Facilities Management (FM) teams are currently more involved in ESG initiatives and reporting. In order to make their efforts more efficient, effective and sustainable, FM practitioners need to adopt and deploy smart and sustainable technologies and know-hows. 
Via this interactive facilitated course, learners will be provided with insights into how Ngee Ann Polytechnic has adopted smart and sustainable technologies to enable its FM digitalisation and visualisation drive with positive and sustainable outcomes. 
On top of the above, learners will be able to use design thinking concept such as LUMA Human-Centered Design framework to guide them in their organisation’s next move towards the deployment of smart and sustainable FM technologies.
What You'll Learn
1. Learn about Ngee Ann Polytechnic’s (NP) journey towards its’ Integrated Operations Centre (IOC) development, the challenges encountered and how they are overcome.
2. Be acquainted with NP’s IOC operations.
3. Learn about the use of messaging services such as Telegram to facilitate FM operations.
4. Be acquainted with Industry partners’ smart and/or digital FM platforms that can be deployed.
5. Application of LUMA Human-Centered Design Thinking framework.
6. Apply what you have learnt to define what success will look like for your organisation’s smart and sustainable FM drive, as well as how it can be achieved.
Entry Requirements
- Be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 4 GCE 'O' level or Equivalent
Below qualifications are consider as Equivalent:
- WSQ Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) at least level 5 or above for all 5 modules
- Higher NITEC Certificate
- Old Certificate Title Industrial Technician Certificate (ITC), Certificate in Business Studies (CBS)
- Master NITEC Certificate
- Old Certificate Title National Technical Certificate 1 (NTC1)
Individuals who are unable to meet the minimum criteria can take the Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) assessment administered by WDA A WPLN (Reading, Listening, Speaking, Writing and Numeracy) Level 5 will be recognised in lieu of 4 GCE "O" level passes.
Applicants having other qualifications (e.g. overseas qualifications or private diplomas etc.) will need to have their qualifications assessed by Council for Estate Agencies (CEA) to determine that the educational qualification requirement is met.
