About This Course

Identify common genetic disorders which present in clinical practice and become familiar with the underlying etiology, genetic mechanisms and phenotypic characteristics. The course prepares individuals to learn and familiarise with the various genetic conditions in patients of all ages. This knowledge is important in the healthcare industry.

What You'll Learn

This course will introduce participants to the genetics in the clinical setting such as paediatric genetics, prenatal genetics, adult genetics and pharmacogenomics. Through focusing on creating meaningful and impactful learning experiences, participants will be able to understand the role of genetics in these areas as well as the various approaches in identification and management

Entry Requirements

Existing health professionals who have a minimum of three years' experience. This could include but is not limited to nurses/physicians/life science graduates and allied health staff
