The course "Professional, Ethical, and Legal Safe Practices for Healthcare Services" is designed to provide healthcare professionals with a comprehensive understanding of the ethical and legal aspects of their practice. This course typically covers topics such as patient confidentiality, professional behaviour and boundaries, code of conduct and its disciplinary measures, ethical decision-making, and best practices for ensuring the safety and well-being of patients. What You'll Learn
As healthcare provider, participants learn about the concept of accountability and accept responsibility for their own behaviour according to organisational policies and procedures. Participants being made aware of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDCA) and confidentiality policies, learn the importance to comply to the PDPA practices in healthcare services.
Being able to identify the organisation’s code of conduct for healthcare provider, the participants will acknowledge the disciplinary measures for contravening the code of conduct in healthcare services. They are able to apply ethical principles according to organisational policies and procedures relating to legal and ethical practice in healthcare services.
Entry Requirements
• Obtained at least a C6 pass at N-Level in any 1 subject or equivalent; OR
• Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 4 (Speaking, Listening, Reading & Numeracy) and Level 3 (Writing)
• Certified medically fit for healthcare training and work by approved clinics
• Must clear HMI Institute’s admissions screening process for the course/programme
Applicants will be assessed by the Institute on their suitability for the course prior to enrolment. Academic qualifications are but one of several assessment criteria.
