The objectives of the course are to:
1.	Better manage a adolescent depending on the following health issues based on theoretical and clinical knowledge. 
a.	Dental issues of children (10 to 21 years old)
b.	Health growth & normal puberty
c.	Variations of norms versus pathological states. (E.g.: Scoliosis)
d.	Vaccination issues
2.	Educate learners about basic mental health relevant to adolescents (10 to 21 years old).
What You'll Learn
Equip yourself with the Knowledge, Skills & Attitudes (KSA) needed to tackle the health issues of adolescents aged 10 to 21 years old. Amidst significant epidemiological shifts and emerging health trends such as eating disorders and mental issues such as teenage depression and suicide etc, this is now an unavoidable matter and concern for this group. 
This skills-based course aims to address the crucial KSA gaps encountered by Healthcare Professionals, Managers, Executives, Technicians (PMETs) in their daily care of adolescents in the preventive and primary healthcare settings. With these gaps identified, build your competence and confidence to support the management of health issues to improve the health of the population.
Organised by the Department of Paediatrics, NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, this course is designed for PMETs who are working in child and adolescent preventive and primary healthcare industry in the region.
