Capstone Project - Job of Manager (JOMAN) for Corporate Services in Advanced Manufacturing
About This Course
The purpose of this capstone project is to provide an opportunity for you to demonstrate and apply the key learnings that you have experienced in the modules taken throughout the SCTP JOMAN for Corporate Services in Advanced Manufacturing programme in a practical application.
Participants will take on the role of the Sourcing Manager at an Advanced Manufacturing company to deal with a challenging scenario that has potentially critical impact to the business viability of the company. Participants will practice using their skills and knowledge gained from the earlier modules to help the company achieve the best possible business outcome.
What You'll Learn
• Demonstrate understanding of the background work needed before entering a negotiation
• Utilise variables from a series of supply chain elements, in particular logistics, inventory and risk as learned in Strategic Supply Chain Management
• Respond to positive and negative events (opportunities and issues) affecting the delivery of the contract in a structured manner, using the concepts learned in Contract Management
Entry Requirements
Open to all unemployed or employed Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents who are looking for training opportunities to transit to a new sector or job role. Applicants must be committed to completing training and passing assessments.
Applicants should:
- Possess a positive attitude and apply the new skill they have gained back in their workplace
- Have at least 3 years of working experience in relevant roles
- Have obtained a diploma and above academic qualification
- Be able to operate a computer or laptop to perform basic tasks
- Applicants who do not meet these recommended requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis
