About This Course
This capstone project course offers a comprehensive, hands-on experience in auditing or designing IT infrastructures for cybersecurity resilience. Trainees will embark on a critical journey to conduct a thorough vulnerability assessment and penetration testing for a designated small business or organisation. This project will enable trainees to apply their knowledge in identifying vulnerabilities within the IT infrastructure and recommend strategic measures for mitigation, thereby enhancing the organisation's cybersecurity posture.
Prerequisites
Participants should have an advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, network security and management, cybersecurity laws and ethics, and risk management in information systems.
What You'll Learn
• Articulate a range of cybersecurity tools and technologies, including vulnerability scanners and penetration tools.
• Analyse cybersecurity practices' legal and ethical implications, including privacy laws, data protection regulations, and ethical standards for cybersecurity professionals.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity vulnerabilities and develop strategies for mitigating those risks.
• Document the assessments results and findings.
• Craft and execute a capstone presentation that aligns with the project methodology, findings, and outcomes.
Entry Requirements
• Prerequisites
Participants should have an advanced knowledge of cybersecurity, network security and management, cybersecurity laws and ethics, and risk management in information systems.
• WPLN Level 6
• Advanced Certificate in IT Infrastructure and Operations; OR
• Mature candidates (≥ 30 years old with 8 years’ work experience in IT infrastructure and operation); OR
• Candidates with other qualifications will be considered on a case-by-case basis
