About This Course
The job of a lawyer is a lot more complex than just to solve a problem for a client. Developing and building a solid relationship with the client, gives longevity to the engagement. This skillset is centred on the concept of client centricity. Making the transition to practice requires understanding how to develop relationships, retain, and create value for clients. It is the function of good counsel to help clients achieve their objectives, even when the client is not clear about what they are asking for. Additionally, there is also the need to create your personal brand to form a first impression long before you meet anyone across the table. This is no longer an advantage but a necessity for any lawyer today.
In the first half of the course, participants will be introduced to foundational concepts in client management, and be taught how to put clients at the core of their practice as lawyers. In the second half of the course, particiapnts will learn to apply the basic concepts of personal branding and perform targeted business development and outreach in a pragmatic manner.
