About This Course
Social media, blockchain technology, e-commerce, virtual reality, artificial intelligence. There have been a vast number of companies incorporated in the last few years, exploring new frontiers for society whilst testing the limits of regional regulations. How do we advance as a society responsibly?
This course will introduce participants to some of the key areas of law that founders of technology companies and related businesses have to navigate in building their vision for tomorrow. These include navigating laws relating to content safety, privacy, payments, intellectual property, consumer protection and etc. There will be a deep dive into the laws surrounding content safety related issues, which have cemented their place in news headlines amidst an ever expanding social media landscape.
Participants will then be exposed to some of the contractual issues that may emerge in the course of running a technology related business and will learn the importance of paying attention to key provisions in contracts that are often neglected.
Finally, participants will be exposed to hypothetical case studies demonstrating the interplay of local regulations with business processes and innovations.
