About This Course
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
1. identify the key legal issues relating to the procedures of starting a business, incorporating a business in China, as well as to corporate finance and corporate governance;
2. demonstrate a critical understanding of the structure and key characteristics of business organizations in China;
3. describe the legal rights of shareholders and identify the legal remedies in the case of violations of those rights;
4. conduct independent legal research in topics relating to Chinese company law and securities regulation; and
5. understand the application of Chinese Company Law and securities regulation in China's distinctive political, economic, and social backgrounds.
What You'll Learn
This course introduces participants to the laws and the relevant legislation governing the main forms of foreign direct investment (FDI) in China such as equity joint ventures, contractual joint ventures, wholly foreign-owned enterprises and limited liability companies.The aim is to provide participants with a critical understanding of the FDI regime in China as well as an understanding of the relationship between the FDI governing laws and other general laws so as to provide updated and accurate information and enable proper legal advice to be given in this area.
