At the end of the course, participants will:

1. understand the key concepts and principles of alternative investments;
2. understand the legal and practical issues arising from alternative investments; and
3. be able to analyse and prepare a wide range of legal documents relating to alternative investments.

What You'll Learn

This course is offered under the Faculty of Law's Graduate Coursework Programmes in Corporate & Financial Services Law.

This course is designed to provide participants with an understanding of the legal issues that arise in alternative investment from both a practical and theoretical perspective. The topics that will be covered include private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, crowdfunding and REITs. The course will discuss selected partnership and corporate issues of alternative investment vehicles. The course will focus on China and will provide relevant comparisons on alternative investment in Singapore, the U.K. and the U.S.
