About This Course
This two day workshop builds upon the earlier workshop "Clinical Reasoning in Assessment and Therapy Planning for Older Persons with Dysphagia - Basic". It is targeted at speech-language therapists working with older persons with swallowing difficulties across various settings. In this workshop, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to apply clinical reasoning in information gathering, assessment, and management of swallowing difficulties in the geriatric population.
In this workshop, participants will demonstrate their ability to show their clinical reasoning skills in both case discussions and simulated patient scenarios and peer discussions/presentations.
Speakers include practicing speech-language therapists, and academic faculty.
