Clinical Reasoning in Assessment and Therapy Planning for Older Persons with Dysphagia - Basic
About This Course
This two day basic introductory workshop is targeted at speech-language therapists working with older persons with swallowing difficulties across various settings. In this workshop, participants will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to apply clinical reasoning in information gathering, assessment, and management of swallowing difficulties in the geriatric population.
The workshop is designed in 2 parts, and participants may choose to attend this workshop only, or choose to extend their learning at the intermediate level workshop. In this workshop, participants will acquire knowledge and skills required to apply clinical reasoning to case-based discussions of older persons with swallowing difficulties.
Speakers include practicing speech-language therapists, and academic faculty.
