Critical Thinking Series : Developing Perspective and Accuracy in Communication
About This Course
This programme will apply critical thinking to effective communication where students will learn to engage cognitive functions to understand their audience, identify appropriate communication approaches, and determine what information is essential to communicate for a given context. The course will also engage students in experiential learning to ensure precision and accuracy so that the message that is sent is what is received. The Feuerstein Instrumental Enrichment (FIE) will be used. FIE is a cognitive coaching approach that has been established for more than 60 years. It is based on the theory of Structural Cognitive Modifiability and Mediated Learning Experience, which can modify cognition over time and make thinking more flexible. This 36-hour programme invites you to start a lifelong journey of transformation as you experience first-hand how you can learn to exercise awareness and control over your cognitive functions and establish new habits of the mind. A pre- and post-dynamic assessment test is included so you can see progress in your own critical thinking ability.
