About This Course

This course presents participants with knowledge and skills required in successfully raising funds from angel investors. In the 3-day course, the participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the process of raising funds from angel investors, and skills and knowledge needed to successfully navigate the process. The course is conducted through a series of exercises and case studies, as well as receive feedback and guidance from seasoned angel investors and entrepreneurs.

What You'll Learn

This is a course for participants who would like to know how to raise fundings from investors, with the specialisation in raising from angel investors.

During the course, they will understand the terminology and concepts related to investing, such as valuation, due diligence, and terms sheets, the key steps involved in raising funding angel investors and the common legal and financial considerations related to that, the key elements of a compelling pitch, including concepts of value proposition, how to identify target market and business plan. Identify and approach potential angels, and skills to effectively communicate with investors, including to address potential concerns and objectives. They will master how to create financial projects and understand how these can be used to establish a valuation for the company. Also the soft element including how to manage the expectations for angel investors and maintain a good working relationship.

This will elevate industry standard by having more individuals, more specifically, founders of startups, know the terminologies and concepts of investing, and methods to successfully securing fundings from angel investors. This will crease the startups' possibility to raise fundings at the early stage, which is critical to set up and scale their business in the future.
