What You'll Learn
Module Outcomes
1. Evaluate photographic works based on standards associated with contemporary trends, movements, influences
2. Articulate the use of photography as a form of creative expression that requires conceptualisation, planning, production, and post-processes
3. Utilise digital imaging software to edit and enhance the photographic images for reproduction, publishing and distribution
4. Apply effective lighting techniques to create the appropriate tone, mood and atmosphere in photographic images
5. Develop a professional body of work to showcase an artistic vision and technical skills in photography
Entry Requirements
Applicants should possess a local polytechnic Diploma, ITE Technical Diploma / Technical Engineer Diploma / Work-Study Technical Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
Applicants who do not meet the entry requirements may be considered for admission to the course based on evidence of at least five years of relevant working experience or supporting evidence of competency readiness. Suitable applicants who are shortlisted will have to go through an interview and/or entrance test. The polytechnic reserves the right to shortlist and admit applicants.
Applicants should have a DSLR or DSLR equivalent camera that can switch to Manual mode & interchangeable lens.
Applicants will also need to have their own laptop that can run Adobe CC.
Conditional Offer
Graduating students (in final semester) from a local polytechnic or Institute of Technical Education (ITE) may apply for the programme.
