About This Course
The learning objective of the WSQ Diploma in Social Service is to train individuals who have no prior experience in the sector but already working in the Social Service sector, particularly but not limited to, the Community Care spaces like Senior Activity Centres / Active Aging Centres / Active Aging Care Hubs, to work with and manage volunteers & clients with professionalism. On top of that, he/she will develop and implement programmes to suit the needs of the clients

• K3 Developing budgets and its considerations
• A1 Develop short-term financial needs and financial priorities based on organisation’s financial performance and needs
• A2 Analyse short and long term financial implications of the organisation
• A3 Facilitate the organisation’s financial management processes and systems in compliance with corporate requirements, local statutory requirements and industry statutory requirements
• A4 Facilitate financial strategies to improve organisational financial performance
• A5 Develop the financial risk measures of the organisation in line with organisation’s short and long-term financial priorities
• A6 Develop organisational budget and finances for approval
Entry Requirements
Our target audience are those who are 25 years old and above with at least 3 years of working experience in any industry. The required skills and knowledge for this course are as follows:
• Minimum GCE A’ Level / Diploma and/or able to read, write, listen and speak of English to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 5; and count to a proficiency level equivalent to Employability Skills System Workplace Numeracy (WPN) Level 5
• Able to operate a personal desktop computer / laptop with Level 2 basic computing and applications skills
• Be motivated to learn and possess positive attitude towards work and commitments.
• Have interest in community and social work.
