About This Course
The course includes information about the optimisation methods and the general theory. It shows the basic as well as the advanced definitions of optimisation for engineering applications. We are using the physics of the problem combined with the finite element computational method to decide what the optimal shape is for a given design space and set of loads and constraints.

The course allows participants to appreciate the use of design optimisation tools from Ansys Mechanical in the product development to reduce cost, reduce mass, improve performance, etc. This course includes parameter-based design optimisation and topology optimisation for industry applications.
