About This Course

The course provides training in the use of plumbing tools, equipment and materials for the installation of sanitary gas and water appliances for both domestic and industial uses in accordance with the regulations of the Public Utilities Board. Participants will also acquire knowledge of plumbing theory, interpretation of blue prints and relevant Code of Practices

What You'll Learn

Workshop practices and classroom lectures will be conducted in English. The course is separated into Module 1 and Module 2. Module 1 touches on plumbing principles, code of practice and drawing (water supply, sanitary plumbing and drainage etc) while Module 2 focus on basic pipework, pipefitting practice and apply practice (steel pipework, uPVC pipework etc)

Entry Requirements

The Applicant must:
• At least 18 years of age
• Be a Singapore Citizens, Singapore Permanent
To possess any one of the following:
• Minimum 3 GCE 'O' or 3 GCE 'N' level passes in English, Mathematics and a Science or Technical subject; or
• SSG’s Employability Skills Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Minimum Level 4; or
• Holders of National Trade Certificate 2 (NTC 2) awarded by Institute of Technical Education (ITE); or
• Holders of Skills Evaluation Certificate (SEC) or Basic Builder Certificate (BBC) in Plumbing & Pipefitting awarded by BCA Academy. They must pass English subject at GCE `N' level.
