Distribution System & Protection - Part of Modular Certificate in Electrical System Design & Protection (Elective) (DEE1)
About This Course
Distribution System & Protection - Part of Modular Certificate in Electrical System Design & Protection (Elective) (DEE1) is a 60hrs module.
What You'll Learn
Extensive working examples of practical HV distribution equipment such as switchgear, transformer, power cable, protection system and safety earthing practice are included. Fault level calculation (using per unit method) of typical radial network and the protection setting calculation of both DTL and IDMTL over-current and balanced earth-fault protection will be covered.
The participants will learn the design of typical HV distribution system, the selection and the testing and commissioning of HV equipment, the calculation of fault level and protection setting to achieve relay co-ordination and discrimination, and the necessary safety procedures and measures required in the operation and maintenance of HV equipment.
