About This Course
This is a non-WSQ Child First Aid (CFA) course which is accredited by Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC).
CFA course is meant for Pre-school and Childcare Teachers which is mandatory by Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) to have their CFA certificates valid while they are still in the workforce as infants and children’s well-being and lives are taken care by them.
Though this course is meant for Pre-school and Childcare Teachers, parents and laypersons are also encouraged to attend this course and learn this life-saving skills in times of need.
What You'll Learn
Learners will be taught on how to render first aid when the need arises not only for infants and children, but also for adults alike.
This course covers the Aims and Roles of a First Aider and the step-by-step know-how to render help.
Essential topics cover:
- Unconscious Casualty for Heat Disorders, Fever, Fits, Fainting, Low Blood Sugar, and Stroke.
- Respiratory Problems such as Foreign Body Airway Obstruction (Choking) for both Conscious and Unconscious Casualty; Asthma; Hyperventilation; Fumes Inhalation and Allergic Reaction.
- Management of Shock, Bleeding and Wounds; Musculoskeletal Injuries and Burn Injuries.
- Other First Aid Knowledge such Foreign Bodies in Ear, Nose or Throat; Poisoning; and Transportation of Casualty.
- Cardio-pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use of AED.
Lessons consist of allocated time for theory and ample hours of practical.

Primary, Secondary education without a GCE 'O' / 'N' Level pass or their equivalent
