Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs): How Finance Can Interact with Blockchain-based DAOs (Synchronous E-Learning)
About This Course
Discover how Decentralised Autonomous Organisations (DAOs) are reshaping governance and organisational structures and the impact they are having on finance, business and various sectors. What are DAOs and what is the context for their emergence? What purpose do they serve and how are they different from firms? More importantly, how are they relevant for financial services professionals, FinTech and crypto entrepreneurs, and regulators? To understand and decide how to engage with DAOs, this course introduces an original DAO framework to help participants decipher a DAO. Additionally, it also presents a DAO risk assessment methodology for financial services professionals. DAOs may not be ubiquitous now, but increasingly, innovative financial institutions, governments and supranationals are paying attention to them. What are the opportunities and challenges of DAOs, and how will they earn their place in a tokenised future? Adapted from the publication of the same name, these questions will be addressed in this 2-day course.
