This three-day module provides an understanding of database management essentials with Structured Query Language (SQL). It emphasises creating and modifying databases, retrieving data from multiple tables with basic and advanced SQL commands, and various functions for text and date searches. It concludes with a comprehensive project that demonstrates the application of learned skills in a real-world scenario.
What You'll Learn
• Utilise Data Definition Language (DDL) commands such as CREATE, DROP, and ALTER TABLE to create and modify databases.
• Execute Data Manipulation Language (DML) commands including INSERT, UPDATE, and DELETE for database manipulation.
• Perform basic and advanced Data Query Language (DQL) commands, incorporating SQL operators and functions for text and date searches.
• Apply SQL(Structured Query Language) aggregate functions for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Implement join operators, subqueries, and nested queries to retrieve data from multiple tables, and create views, triggers, and functions to enhance database functionality.

Entry Requirements
• Participants should preferably have passed mathematics at least ‘O’ Level or equivalent.

• Participants are encouraged to complete the Foundation of Data Science course before enrolling in this course.
