What You'll Learn
The DJ Music Performance with Controllerism module is designed to equip students with the expertise needed for modern DJing, integrating sound design and creation, sound recording operations, and audio programming. Through hands-on workshops and demonstrations, students will utilize digital controllers while mastering essential skills such as beat matching, mixing, effects processing, and the use of musical instruments. The course also emphasizes concept creation and production operations, focusing on creativity and technical mastery for live performances. Students will develop a distinctive artistic style and proficiency in handling contemporary DJ tools, ensuring they can effectively manage both the creative and technical aspects of their performances. To fully engage with the course content, students are recommended to have their own laptop, DJ software, and MIDI controller.
Entry Requirements
- 3 GCE ‘O’ level with English language (grade 1-7), Mathematics (grade 1-6) and 1 relevant subject (grade 1-6) and 3 years of relevant working experience
- NITEC/ NITEC in Technology/ Services (GPA 3.5 and above) and and 2 years of relevant working experience
-Higher NITEC/ Higher NITEC in Technology/ Services and 1 year of relevant working experience
-Relevant WSQ Diploma + Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 6 and and 3 years of relevant working experience
- For applicants who do not meet the MER, the polytechnics will consider discretionary entry based on the structured process for discretionary entry to CET diploma programmes
