What You'll Learn

This module provides an in-depth exploration of backline and stage monitoring in live music production. Students will learn to identify, configure, and maintain backline equipment, and will master the setup and operation of various stage monitoring systems, including wedge and in-ear monitors. Emphasizing practical application, the module covers monitor mixing techniques, troubleshooting, and effective communication with performers and sound team members. Through hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, students will gain the skills needed to deliver clear, reliable stage sound, ensuring optimal performance conditions for live music events.

Entry Requirements

- 3 GCE ‘O’ level with English language (grade 1-7), Mathematics (grade 1-6) and 1 relevant subject (grade 1-6) and 3 years of relevant working experience
- NITEC/ NITEC in Technology/ Services (GPA 3.5 and above) and and 2 years of relevant working experience
-Higher NITEC/ Higher NITEC in Technology/ Services and 1 year of relevant working experience
-Relevant WSQ Diploma + Workplace Literacy & Numeracy (WPLN) Level 6 and and 3 years of relevant working experience
- For applicants who do not meet the MER, the polytechnics will consider discretionary entry based on the structured process for discretionary entry to CET diploma programmes
