Child Health (0-6 years old) (Synchronous & Asynchronous)
About This Course
Learners will be able to:
1. analyse and apply the principles of primary health care to promote and maintain overall wellbeing of children in the community settings;
2. understand importance of engaging and enabling parents to promote physical and mental health as well as safety of the children; and
3. recognize common health and safety issues experienced by children aged 0-6-year-old.
4. demonstrate evidence-based and policy informed care
for children aged 0-6 years’ old;
5. perform growth and developmental screening and initiate appropriate referrals for children with developmental delays.
6. advocate parental involvement to promote well-being and ensure safety of children aged 0-6 years old and
7.adopt culturally appropriate care for child health.

A Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related discipline
Applicants without a Bachelors’ degree but with relevant work experience are also eligible
