Cognitive Rehabilitation for Occupational Therapists (Synchronous e-Learning)
About This Course
This three-day introductory workshop is a continuation of the two-day inter-professional primer on cognitive rehabilitation and focuses on knowledge and skills supporting occupational therapy practice for cognitive-perceptual issues seen in persons with a range of neurological and psychiatric conditions. The aim is to provide occupational therapists with the knowledge and skills in occupational therapy centric cognitive-perceptual assessments, problem identification, goal setting and intervention plans.
The objectives of the workshop are to equip occupational therapists with the knowledge and skills in the following areas:
1. Occupation-focused models and approaches in cognitive and perceptual dysfunctions.
2. Occupational Therapy assessments for cognitive and perceptual problems.
3. Problem identification and goal setting for cognitive perceptual issues.
4. Occupational Therapy intervention strategies and plans for management of cognitive-perceptual problems.
