Facilitating Career Development (Synchronous & Asynchronous e-learning)
About This Course
The Facilitating Career Development (FCD) training workshop is targeted at those whose work is involved in mentoring and coaching their stakeholders in terms of career advice and career progression.
Participants will acquire 12 core competencies, that are fundamental skills and knowledge required in career coaching work, which includes knowledge in career development framework; knowledge of labor market information and resources; facilitations skills in coaching; assessment in formal and informal career development; job search strategies; development of training programmes in career coaching; ethical issues in career coaching; understand career development programmes and their implementation; outreach/marketing for career development programmes; technological resources to aid in career planning; Understanding and facilitating business services and employer relations. The course is aligned to the 'Human Resource' sector in the Skills Framework, and is pegged at the 'Human Resource Manager (Talent Management) role. The course will also be useful for educators, career advisors, youth workers and social service workers . workforce development officers who are involved in career counselling and advisory work for young people and for members of public.
