About This Course

This course is designed for bakers to learn about sourdough preparation for bread making. Learners will learn to develop a sour doughstarter and create a variety of sourdough breads. Learners will be guided through sourdough bread-making principles and techniques to be able to determine the doneness of the final bread products

Upon completion of this unit, learners will attain knowledge and skills in the following areas:
1. Understanding the principles of sourdough starter preparation and its application in bread making
2. Understanding the principles of cafe style breads
3. Master the skills in sourdough bread-making techniques
4. Learn how to assess the doneness of baked sourdough breads
5. Develop skills to troubleshoot on sourdough bread issues.
