About This Course
Learners will be able to:
1 analyse and apply the principles of primary health care to promote and maintain overall wellbeing of children in the community settings
2 understand importance of engaging and enabling parents to promote physical and mental health as well as safety of the children and
3 recognize common health and safety issues experienced by children aged 0-6-year-old
4 demonstrate evidence-based and policy informed care
for children aged 0-6 years’ old
5 perform growth and developmental screening and initiate appropriate referrals for children with developmental delays
6 advocate parental involvement to promote well-being and ensure safety of children aged 0-6 years old and
7adopt culturally appropriate care for child health

Applicants without a Bachelors’ degree but with relevant work experience are also eligible
