About This Course

This Module is part of the Diploma in Accounting and Corporate Secretarial Practice, Modular Certificate in Audit and Tax Law.

This module aims to develop the skills for students to explain the demand for audit, the responsibilities of auditors under the different types of audits as well as statutory and non-statutory audits.

What You'll Learn

Students will be able to describe the audit process, including conducting audits in an information technology environment, identifying types of audit evidence, documenting findings, and understanding audit objectives. They will gain knowledge to apply audit procedures used for the main processes within the organisation. Additionally, students will be able to discuss threats to auditor independence in the context of professional ethics in accounting.

Entry Requirements

At least three (3) ‘O’ Level passes in the following subjects:
English Language (EL1 or EL2) Grade 1 – 7
Mathematics Grade 1 – 6
One (1) relevant subject Grade 1 – 6 and at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Higher Nitec
• GPA ≥ 2.0 OR
• GPA ≥ 1.5 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Nitec
• GPA ≥ 3.5 OR
• GPA ≥ 3.0 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience
Higher Nitec in Technology/ Services
• GPA ≥ 2.0 AND at least one (1) year relevant work experience

Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ)
