About This Course
Phlebotomy is an invasive procedure that requires theoretical knowledge and practical skills in collecting venous blood in a safe, accurate and reliable manner for clinical laboratory investigations and therapeutic assessments. This course is for final-year polytechnic students from the Biomedical Science or related courses, medical technologists, nurses, healthcare workers and individuals who aspire to acquire phlebotomy skills for their job functions and future employment. As the syllabus of this phlebotomy course is designed as a pre-requisite for International Phlebotomy Technician examination conducted by the American Society for Clinical Pathology [PBT) (ASCPi)], graduates of this phlebotomy course can subsequently proceed to acquire this international qualification.
