About This Course
This WSQ Build Workplace Inclusivity program aims to equip learners with the skills and how-to in collaborating with stakeholders from different backgrounds, different generations, including diversity dimensions such as race, ethnicity, religion, gender orientation, age, physical and learning ability, education, socio-economic status and political belief, to understand the interests of diverse groups and build an inclusive work environment.
At the end of the course, learners will have a good understanding of how each generation functions, have a greater awareness when interacting with a diverse workforce. These will be useful skillset in today's working landscape.
What You'll Learn
LO1:Apply understanding of the how-to when interacting with diverse groups by considering the differences in diversity, including one’s values, belief systems and personal attitudes.
LO2: Monitor one’s behaviour when operating in a diverse workplace environment by heightening one’s self-awareness towards unconscious bias
LO3: Conduct inclusive interactions with diverse groups by applying effective communication principles such as showing respect, active listening to understand the other party’s viewpoints
LO4: Comply to one’s organisation’s fair, inclusive policies by demonstrating the desired behaviours in one’s conduct
LO5: Adopt the desired practices as advocated by one’s organisation’s inclusivity-related communication materials
Entry Requirements
Learners are assumed to:
1. Have an understanding of the organisation’s product and service offering
2. Have an understanding of the organization’s structure, standard operating procedures and guidelines on customer service
3. Be able to speak, listen and read English at a proficiency level not lower than the Employability Skills Workforce Skills Qualification (ES WSQ) Workplace Literacy (WPL) Level 3
