About This Course

The course covers the practical and theoretical aspects of aviation pipes and hoses, based on Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) Module 6 (6.6 - Pipes and Unions) & Module 7 (7.9).
The course will cover both theory and practical on the following:
- Identification of, and types of rigid and flexible pipes and their connectors used in aircraft.
- Standard unions for aircraft hydraulic, fuel, oil, pneumatic and air system pipes.
- Bending and belling/flaring aircraft pipes;
- Inspection and testing of aircraft pipes and hoses;
- Installation and clamping of pipes.

What You'll Learn

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
a) Identify all types of rigid and flexible pipes and their connectors used on the aircraft.
b) Identify standard unions for aircraft hydraulic, fuel, oil, pneumatic and air system pipes.
c) Demonstrate bending and belling/flaring of aircraft pipes;
d) Perform proper inspection and testing of aircraft pipes and hoses;
e) Perform proper installation and clamping of pipes
