About This Course
This course aims to equip participants with basic knowledge and skills required in the chemical manufacturing industry to function as a process technician. It covers different types of engineering drawings, namely Process Flow Diagram and Piping and Instrumentation Diagram. Learners will be able to interpret engineering diagrams and perform line tracing. This will enhance their job role as process technician when performing routine process units and utilities operations.
What You'll Learn
Entry Requirements
Learner may be a process technician in a chemical manufacturing plant with several years of experience but does not possess formal qualification in chemical engineering related training.
Learner may also be working in a chemical manufacturing plant as laboratory analyst, maintenance technician or safety personnel who would like to seek a career switch to process technician job role.
Learner may also be a fresh engineer working in the chemical industry or working in a company supporting the chemical industry who would like to familiarize himself in chemical process operations and control.
Learner may possess GCE ‘N’ or ‘O’ level or ITE certification, with knowledge of basic sciences equivalent to lower secondary level.
Learner must possess basic level of literacy in English and numeracy.
