A competent individual must be able to successfully perform the following in accordance with organizational procedures:

4) Identify factors affecting tool temperature
5) Identify the mechanisms of tool wear and its forms

7) Identify characteristics of high speed cutting on cutting forces, chip formation and tool wear
8) Assess and create appropriate tool paths for high speed milling
9) Complete optimum milling process by Identifying and selecting appropriate machining parameters

Entry Requirements
Candidates with ITE Nitec / Higher Nitec / NTC-2 / WSQ Advanced Certificate or equivalent qualifications with at least four years of relevant experience in the manufacturing/precision engineering industries.
