About This Course

This course satisfies the formal training element of the American Society for Non-Destructive Testing SNT-TC-1A, ANSI/ASNT CP-105 and NAS 410 / EN 4179 and is suitable for engineers and technicians at all levels of experience that require formal training for qualification in this subject. The training programme consists of both theoretical and practical hands-on application, allowing the participants sufficient time to obtain a good foundation in this method of non-destructive testing by practising a variety of inspection techniques under the supervision of qualified instructor(s) using different methods and techniques of eddy current testing. Participants will also have the opportunity to inspect actual aircraft components and structures.

What You'll Learn

The course aims to provide participants with an adequate theoretical and practical knowledge of the Eddy Current Testing method including calibration checks, scanning techniques, interpretation/evaluation techniques, and writing of Non-Destructive Testing instructions or test reports to prepare them for qualification examinations in accordance with their employer’s Non Destructive Training Written Practice.

By the end of the Course, participants will be able to:

1) Apply different methods and techniques of eddy current testing to inspect actual aircraft components and structures.

2) Develop Eddy Current Testing instructions and techniques.
