What You'll Learn
In LU2 Examine the Context, Determine the Cause, learners will begin to define and determine the conflict including its underlying factors such as social or cultural differences. They will also be able to recognise the individual and team roles and accountabilities in conflict resolution. They will also gain an appreciation of personality traits as outlined by DiSC personality profiles so as to adjust their approach; they will also gain an understanding of the emotional intelligence dimensions in conflict resolutions.
In LU3 Ascertain the Crux, Establish the Strategy, learners will analyse the root cause of the conflict.
In LU4 Craft the Solutions, Adjudicate the Conflict, learners will be able to appraise the various conflict resolution strategies; collaborate with the team to identify potential areas of conflict and possible resolutions.
In LU5 Escalate the Case, Leverage the Options, learners will explore the options available in the event that the case cannot be resolve and how to escalate it with the operating environment and context of the organisation, industry and legal. Best practices will be shared and the role of TAFEP in workplace discrimination and workplace grievances practices for managing workplace conflicts.
Entry Requirements
Completed at least secondary school education or demonstrate basic English language literacy on equivalent to WPLN level 3.
