About This Course
By the end of this module, participants will know how to:
• Develop the right theme, messaging, tone and personality in both visual and written web content.
• Apply guidelines and requirements to the design, texts, images, tone of both visual and written content to websites and web content
• Manage web maintenance

The module will cover the following areas:
- An introduction to web content and why content is important.
- The factors that contribute to a well-functioning website and good web content
- Introduction to web content management
- Popular web content management systems (CMS) and the pros and cons of each CMS
- Introduction to Content Strategy: The 5 W’s of web content strategy/ development
- The different components of a website - functions and development
- Website maintenance
- Copyright, intellectual property legislation and privacy requirements relating to web content
- Improvement of web design to enhance user experience
Entry Requirements
- GCE 'O' level Credit (at least C6) in English and Mathematics or Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) score: Level 6 for Reading, Listening and Numeracy; and
- With at least 3 years supervisory/managerial working experience in retail or Professional/Managerial/Management Executive (PME) position in non-retail sector
For E-Learning classes at SIRS, participants MUST have the following:
•Laptop / desktop computer
•Stable WIFI
•Webcam (external or built-in)
•Earpiece / headphone with microphone
