About This Course
This course introduces visually impaired individuals to the transformative potential of Generative AI (GenAI) tools in simplifying everyday tasks and enhancing independence. Participants will gain hands-on experience with free to use GenAI applications such as Meta AI, ChatGPT and Be My Eyes. Using their mobile devices, participants will explore simple but practical use cases such as brainstorming of ideas, drafting better email or resume, generating images with prompts and using tools to explain and describe image.
What You'll Learn
- Develop a basic understanding of the principles of AI, including its history, evolution, and diverse applications.
- Identify and share best practices on how visually impaired individuals can navigate GenAI tools effectively by utilizing the accessibility features or tools available on their devices.
- Develop basic prompting skills to interact with these GenAI tools
- Build confidence in using some of these tools to help with their personal tasks.
