About This Course
This module will provide participants with an understanding of the risk factors of injuries, and the principles of preventing and managing common injuries within the framework of a multidisciplinary team approach. Participants will understand the types and causes of ligament, tendon, muscle, cartilage and skeletal injuries, and how acute as well as overused injuries are managed.
What You'll Learn
Participants will be introduced to the use of common treatment physical modalities such as cold, heat, ultrasound, and Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS), as well as the principles for rehabilitating injuries using techniques such as taping, massage and exercise therapy.
