Overview
Founded in 1209, Cambridge is the third-oldest university in continuous operation in the world. Like Oxford, it follows a collegiate system with 31 colleges. Cambridge is a powerhouse of scientific discovery, having been the home of Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, and Stephen Hawking. It is a central hub for the "Silicon Fen" technology cluster and has been associated with over 120 Nobel laureates, more than any other single institution.
