1.State the legislative requirements for the safe use of lorry crane 2.List the duties and responsibilities of personnel involved in lifting operations 3.Identify the principal components of a lorry crane 4.Identify hazards and implement control measures involving lorry crane operation 5.Checking of ground condition and proximity hazards 6.Conduct pre-lift inspection of lifting accessories on lorry crane 7.Practice good housekeeping of lifting accessories 8.Select the appropriate rigging equipment 9.Estimation of load and determine centre of gravity 10.State the factors affecting lifting capacity and interpret load chart 11.Respond to lifting accidents and emergencies 12.Observe safety when operating a lorry crane 13.Set up outrigger for lifting operation 14.Load / Unload materials onto the lorry crane safely 15.Lift and place materials using the lorry crane safely

Entry Requirements
Learners are assumed to have:
• Employability Skills System (ESS) Workplace Literacy and Numeracy (WPLN) Level 3 and above, or equivalent
• Ability to read and understand manufacturer’s instructions, procedures and safety signs
• Have a good sense of “situational awareness” and safety consciousness
