About This Course
To allow Coaches of PA & SSC to acquire first aid skills and apply first aid confidently in their field of work
The Standard First Aid with AED (SFA+AED) course is a pre-requisite for all sports coaches and exercise professionals in Singapore to attain or renew their coaching license under SportSG. The aim of the course is to provide relevant knowledge and skills in rendering first aid treatment, including CPR during an emergency.
What You'll Learn
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
Perform CPR and use an AED effectively to provide immediate care for individuals experiencing cardiac arrest.
Assess and manage injuries such as fractures, sprains, strains, and wounds, including sports-related injuries.
Provide first aid for common medical conditions like asthma, allergies, heat-related emergencies, and shock.
Handle trauma emergencies including burns, bleeding, and head or spinal injuries.
Recognize and respond to medical emergencies in both sports and everyday environments.
Apply proper first aid techniques to stabilize patients until professional medical help arrives.
Meet the certification requirements necessary for sports coaches and exercise professionals to attain or renew their SportSG coaching license.

Entry Requirements
Read, write, and speak English at WPL Level 4
Be physically able to perform CPR skills while kneeling on the floor
Pregnant or with any medical history such as heart and joint issues should seek advice from their doctors prior to enrolling
